The calculator is preset for a typical replacement part. Change it to your slicer's numbers.

Estimated cost per print

Failed-print buffer
$0.94

An estimate from the numbers you enter. It leaves out packaging, shipping, marketplace fees and tax.

What drives the cost

  • Measuring, modeling and test fits dominate cost on one-offs.
  • Engineering filaments cost more.
  • Reprints for fit adjustments.

Costs the calculator leaves out

  • Inserts and screws
  • Test prints
  • Small parcel postage

Step 2: turn cost into a price

A simple method: price = (cost + fixed fees) ÷ (1 − fee % − margin %). Using the example print cost of $11.78, plus about $1.50 for extras, a 10% marketplace and payment fee and a $0.45 fixed fee gives:

Target marginPrice that covers it
10%$17.16
20%$19.61
30%$22.88

Illustrative only. Use your marketplace's current fee schedule, shipping and tax. A price that covers cost is not a promise anyone will buy at it, so check demand and competing listings.

Pricing tips for replacement parts

  • Price one-off designs as custom work, and repeat known parts lower.
  • Use the exact part number or model compatibility in listings, without brand logos.
  • Avoid safety-critical parts.
License check: If you print someone else's design, confirm its license allows commercial use. Many free models are personal-use only. See the license guides.
