What a vendor's net profit card leaves out
xTool's page for the O1 Omni (listed at $2,499 on pre-order) shows a retail price, blank cost and ink cost for each example, and a net profit that is the price minus those two. Below, the same examples with the other costs added at the calculator's starting assumptions: 10 minutes of machine time, 6 minutes of your time at $20/hour, 5% failed prints, $1.00 packaging and Etsy-style fees. Your numbers will differ.
| Example | xTool's retail price | xTool's net profit | Left out | Estimate with them |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Personalized acrylic block (3.97" × 3.97") | $20.00 | $18.89 | $5.60 | $13.29 |
| Custom ceramic ornament (2.85" round) | $16.50 | $15.96 | $5.24 | $10.72 |
| Custom glass suncatcher (9.8" round) | $47.50 | $29.41 | $9.11 | $20.30 |
| Custom golf towel (9.7" × 8.8") | $27.50 | $25.66 | $6.35 | $19.30 |
Retail prices, blank and ink costs are xTool's published figures, read from xTool's O1 Omni page on 2026-10-18. MeshNomics has not verified them, and a suggested retail price is not a price anyone was observed paying. Fee figures are editable starting points, not a statement of Etsy's current rates.

Questions
- How much does it cost to UV print one item?
- The blank usually dominates: an acrylic block or ceramic ornament blank costs cents to a dollar, a glass suncatcher blank far more. Ink is often cents per item. Add machine wear, your handling time, failed prints, packaging and marketplace fees to get the real cost.
- Is a vendor's net profit figure what I will make?
- No. A vendor card that subtracts only the blank and ink from a suggested retail price leaves out marketplace and payment fees, packaging, your time, failed prints and the machine itself. Its retail price is a suggestion, not a price anyone was observed paying.
- What fees does Etsy charge on a sale?
- Etsy charges a transaction fee on the item price, a payment processing fee per order and a listing fee that recurs when a multi-quantity listing sells. The calculator starts from 6.5%, 3% plus $0.25 and $0.20; check Etsy's current fee page for your country and edit them.
- How many items until a UV printer pays for itself?
- Divide the machine price by what each item earns after every other cost. The calculator shows that count, and it moves a lot with your price and your time per item.
