An estimate from the numbers you enter. It leaves out packaging, shipping, marketplace fees and tax.
Worked example
80 g at $20.00 per 1000 g, 5 h at 140 W and $0.16/kWh, a $400.00 machine over 4,000 h, 10 min of hands-on time at $20.00/h and a 6% failed-print buffer works out to about $5.90 per good print: material $1.60, electricity $0.11, printer wear $0.50, labor $3.33, failures $0.35.
What drives the cost
- Vase-mode prints use little filament, so time and labor dominate.
- Calibration drift raises failures if it's not checked.
Common uses
- Vases and lamps
- Tall decorative pieces
Watch out for
- Calibration is more complex than on a Cartesian printer.
